# compare_beliefs

> Compare investment ideas

**Compare investment ideas** · \$0.50 per call (x402, USDC)

Compare two cited investment cases for support, contradiction or dependency, including explicit unknown and unrelated outcomes. Optional comparison\_focus selects a public research topic within both complete cases; the result applies to that topic only. Shared-source provenance does not establish research independence.

## Input parameters

| Parameter | Type | Required | Description |
| - | - | - | - |
| `belief_id` | string | Yes | |
| `compare_to_belief_id` | string | Yes | |
| `comparison_focus` | string | No | Optional public research topic or proposition to compare within both complete cases. Supply a topic, not a desired relation, private portfolio information or instructions. Other relations in the cases are outside this focused assessment. min length 1; max length 500 |
| `as_of` | string | No | |

## Transports

* **MCP:** `tools/call` with name `compare_beliefs` at `https://beliefstate.ai/mcp` (account access) or the wallet-paid x402 MCP server. See [MCP integration](https://docs.beliefstate.ai/guides/mcp-server.md).
* **x402 HTTP:** `POST https://beliefstate.ai/v1/research/compare_beliefs` with the arguments as a JSON body. An unpaid request returns an HTTP 402 payment quote.
* **Related REST resource:** [`GET /v1/beliefs`](https://docs.beliefstate.ai/api-reference/beliefs/find-investor-beliefs-or-inspect-a-full-record).
