# get_belief

> Read investment case

**Read investment case** · \$0.02 per call (x402, USDC)

Read a requested complete investment case or evidence beyond a brief, with risks, conditions and coverage gaps. An ordinary library overview can use get\_brief without opening each case. Use paragraph\_index only when it appears in the returned investment\_case; follow support/text offsets. Records without investment\_case return their full claims and citations without paragraph selectors.

## Input parameters

| `support_index` | integer | No | Source support within the selected paragraph; defaults to 0. Use next\_support\_index for another passage. min 0; max 9007199254740991 |
| `support_text_offset` | integer | No | UTF-16 offset within the selected supporting passage; defaults to 0. Use next\_text\_offset to continue its text. min 0; max 9007199254740991 |

## Transports

* **MCP:** `tools/call` with name `get_belief` at `https://beliefstate.ai/mcp` (account access) or the wallet-paid x402 MCP server. See [MCP integration](https://docs.beliefstate.ai/guides/mcp-server.md).
* **x402 HTTP:** `POST https://beliefstate.ai/v1/research/get_belief` with the arguments as a JSON body. An unpaid request returns an HTTP 402 payment quote.
